Before any confusion goes on, I thought I'd clarify something else to.
Official Threads are the only place where corresponding discussion takes place. An example would be: If there was an "Official Transformers Thread," then that would be the one and only place to discuss Transformers. Any other threads about Transformers would be closed.
To start an official topic, post a suggestion for an official thread in the Watching the Watchmen Suggestion Box and me or Jack Kovacs will come by shortly and approve it. The only way it will be approved will be if it is a legit topic and can be discussed thoroughly, no matter what time or day it is.
And make sure you give us a preview of what the thread will look like in the Suggestion Box to get it approved.
So here is the full process:
1. Choose a topic for an Official Thread
2. Post it in the Suggestion box to get it approved
3. After approval, post the topic. Make sure to title it, "Official _______ Thread."
4. Await discussion
5. If no or limited discussion takes place within about 20 or 30 days, the thread will be locked. It might be unlocked under certain circumstances, where the topic of the thread regains popularity.
